The best thing about the internet is that it makes everyone a publisher. The worst thing about the internet is that it makes everyone a publisher.
Anon. (In the sense that I do not remember where I first heard or read this.)
In time I shall expand this section of the site to say a little more about some of the sites I have designed, and about some of the things that I have learnt while designing and building them.
These sites were been built for relatives, friends and clients over the past couple of years. Technically, none of these sites quite match the clean-cut XHTML/CSS design and implementation of this site, and you’ll find lots of old-style HTML and a whole variety of layout and presentation cludges and fixes.
Having said that, there’s the Expedience design (originally at expedience.net, but now preserved on my own server space) and David Nissen’s, which was the first I created that properly embraced CSS, and remains one of my favourites.
In anything at all, perfection is finally attained not when there is no longer anything to add, but when there is no longer anything to take away.

The most-visited site is clickmazes, my sister’s very successful online home, full of her games, puzzles and mazes. One of my earliest designs, clickmazes was originally built using the erstwhile Adobe PageMill, and has been updated with my sister’s own brand of hand-coded HTML. One day – perhaps – I shall enjoy redesigning and updating the site (if my sister lets me loose on it!).
