Masters of Magic

The phrase was someone else’s idea, but it turned out to be a fun challenge, although one that I never felt I had quite managed to complete. It went through numerous versions and typographic styles, and certainly got better and edged closer to perfect solution... but... well... it’s not quite there, is it?

The two Ms worked very well, especially the second one, but some of the other letters are a bit dodgy. The as/ag ligature just about works, but I could never get the stroke weights and shapes to seem natural.

Still, I really like the central tersofM string, so it’s not all bad.
